Perennial Team Players Get Solo Titles . . .

Coming soon, two of MARVEL'S fan favorites get their own titles.  The AVENGER'S brooding archer . . . HAWKEYE, and The X-MEN'S Cajun thief extraordinaire . . . GAMBIT, both get their own books to tell their stories. MARVEL is capitalizing on the popularity of these two hero's from their recent appearances in "The AVENGER'S" for HAWKEYE, and "X-MEN Origins: WOLVERINE" for GAMBIT.

First up is HAWKEYE, the one-time criminal, former leader of the West Coast Avengers, also ex-member of the DEFENDERS, and long standing member of the AVENGERSClint Barton has worn plenty of hats over his career, and hopefully in this new series we get to delve deeper in his past, live in his present, and see glimpses what's to come.  Joining him will be former Young Avenger Kate Bishop, as Hawkeye sets out to prove his worth as an AVENGER, and his place as one of "Earth's Mightiest Heroes."  The creative team behind this title will be none other than Matt Fraction (THOR), and David Aja (Immortal Iron Fist) as they reunite to tell the stories of MARVEL'S favorite archer!

Who doesn't love a playful rogue, with a Cajun accent, kinetic powers, moves of an Olympic level athlete, movie star looks, and thief skills that would make the best of thieves jealous… all this and a member of one of MARVEL'S most powerful super hero teams in the X-MEN.  Yes, GAMBIT gets his own title.

Join the creative team of James Asmus as the writer, and Clay Mann on pencils, as they weave the solo adventures of the X-MEN'S most enigmatic member.  What will the Cajun get into on his own, and can he handle what's in store for him without the backup of his brothers in arms.  Armed with his staff, a deck of cards, and his trademark southern charm, what's in store for the Mutant with the kinetic flare?

Look for both these on-going titles from MARVEL by summers end, both will be monthly and have a price point of $2.99.  Keep it locked to Marveluniverseunlimited.com for more coverage on these and many more stories coming from MARVEL Comics.

The Gambit series has also been described as "Indiana Jones meets Mission Impossible," sounds like a lot of "globe trotting" fun!
